Our first CETW 2012 workshop session for this year was planned for March 20-22,
2012 and had the theme "Bio-ethanol and Bio-diesel Energy (Fuel) Technologies"
Some of our delegates were not able to obtain their
travel papers to make the date. For these delegates and other people who may
be interested, we are arranging two new workshop/training sessions, on
the same theme, to be held in Ottawa, ON, Canada.
The two workshop/training sessions will take place as follows:
-
May Workshop/Training Session: CETW 2012: Bio-ethanol and Bio-Diesel - May
27 to 30, 2012
-
October Workshop/Training Session: Bio-ethanol and Bio-diesel Technologies
Training - October 29 to 31, 2012
The brief outline of the workshop is represented here as
follows:
-
Conventional energy technologies (fossil
fuels – coal, crude oil, oil sands, oil shale and natural gas; and
nuclear power);
-
Ethanol and biodiesel manufacturing;
-
Bio-ethanol and bio-diesel for power
generation;
-
Materials for making Ethanol and
Bio-diesel:
-
Wastes to fuel: Obtaining bio-ethanol
and bio-diesel from wastes:-Agricultural wastes, municipal solid
wastes, waste vegetable oil (WVO), animal remains, rotten fruits
-
Energy crops for bio-ethanol and
bio-diesel - sugarcane, sugar beets, cereal crops (corn, millet,
wheat etc), cassava, switchgrass, miscanthus; hybrid willows, hybrid
poplar, jatropha, soybean, palm tree fruits, wood or woody materials
etc.;
-
Wood and Algae
-
Catalysts and Enzymes - Best friends in
bio-ethanol and bio-diesel production;
-
Establishing small scale and large scale
bio-ethanol and bio-diesel manufacturing plants – Materials, Costs,
and Expertise;
-
Development of small scale and large
scale power generating plants based on ethanol and biodiesel –
Materials, Cost and Expertise requirements; and
-
Implementing Bio-ethanol and bio-diesel
in developing countries.
If you are interested in any of the TWO (2)
workshop sessions and would like to receive information on how you can
participate please send an e-mail to
cetw@tlrconsulting.com . In your
